Rise Against Hunger

(Formerly called Stop Hunger Now)
Saturday, March 18, 2017

Join us for a feel-good opportunity to help the hungry. We need 50 volunteers to pack meals for Rise Against Hunger (formerly Stop Hunger Now). After the packing party, we'll gather together for a church-wide pig pickin'. We're looking for men to help prepare the barbecue.

Can't stay for both? We encourage you to come for one or the other! Click here to sign up.

Habitat for Humanity: A Call to Build

Jan. - March 2017

Woodhaven is partnering with other churches in the southwest Wake County area to build a home for a deserving family in Holly Springs. There are opportunities for individuals of all ages to be involved in supporting this special project. Volunteers ages 16 and older can work on the site. Volunteers younger than age 16 can help with lunches and building bird houses. Of course, all ages can pray!

Questions? For details, contact Paul Bartlet at 919-363-4739 or pnbart@nc.rr.com.

Sock It to 'em for Jesus

You may have noticed a basket in the Narthex filled with socks and undergarments. This is a new Woodhaven ministry we call “Sock It to 'em for Jesus.”

While there are many ministries which provide clothing for the homeless, most do not provide socks, hats, and undergarments. Woodhaven wants to fill that gap. So, when you are shopping and see socks, hats and undergarments on sale, buy them and toss them into the basket. They will go to people who need them.
